Initially united in 1854 by the promise to abolish slavery, the Republican Party has always stood for freedom, prosperity, and opportunity. Today, as those principles come under attack from the far-left, we are engaged in a national effort to fight for our proven agenda, take our message to every American, grow the party, promote election integrity, and elect Republicans up and down the ballot. The principles of the Republican Party recognize the God-given liberties while promoting opportunity for every American.

Republicans believe in liberty, economic prosperity, preserving American values and traditions, and restoring the American dream for every citizen of this great nation. As a party, we support policies that seek to achieve those goals.

How do I know if I am a bonafide Republican

Currently, in the State of Tennessee a Bonafide Republican is someone with a primary voting record of three of the last four primaries voting Republican. For County elections, those moving from out-of-state can prove their Bonafide status by submitting their official voting records from that state. If you run for office as a Republican and your Bonafide status is challenged you will need to appeal to the state party. If you are declared not a Bonafide Republican, you will be removed from the ballot. Reach out to the Headquarters, and we can let you know your status.

How do I get involved in the local party?

There are many ways you can get involved in our local Montgomery County Republican Party from helping campaigns, financially contributing, being engaged on our social media platforms, and making those in your influence aware of what the local party is doing. One of the absolute best ways to get involved and get direction is to attend a monthly meeting.
