Robert Nash
District Attorney General 19th Judicial District
Robert Nash proudly serves the citizens of Montgomery and Robertson Counties as their District Attorney. On November 8, 2021Governor Bill Lee announced the appointment of Robert Nash to District Attorney General for the 19th Judicial District. On May 3, 2022, General Nash won the election as the District Attorney.
He has called Clarksville, Montgomery County his home for over 40 years and is a proud graduate of Northeast High School. After graduating Austin Peay State University and the Nashville School of Law, he began his legal career as an associate attorney with the Clarksville firm of Sharon Massey-Grimes and Carrie Gasaway. His practice consisted primarily of child custody, divorce, civil litigation, and criminal defense.
In 2007, Robert was recruited by District Attorney John W. Carney, Jr. to join his team of prosecutors. As an Assistant District Attorney, Robert was mainly assigned cases involving crimes of violence, such as kidnapping, robbery, and murder.
Robert is honored to be a Rotarian and member of the Clarksville Sunrise Rotary Club. He is committed to living up to the Rotary mantra “Service Above Self.” Robert is also a proud graduate of Leadership Clarksville Class of 2014.
Robert has been married to Misty Poston for 25 years. They have one son together, Hunter (age 21), and Robert has a son, Austin (age 30) from a previous marriage. Robert and Misty attend Lifepoint Church.
